Shoulder Health for the Aerial Artist and AthletE With AMy Flory
December 15th 3-4 pm
A review of shoulder anatomy and associated structures, followed by presentation of the current research as it relates to shoulder pain conditions and especially those that affect the aerialist. We will go over some shoulder training exercises and techniques that will complement rehabilitation of a shoulder in pain, as well as a proactive training schedule.

Amy Flory has been a practicing physical therapist for over 22 years but is only in her 3rd year in the aerial arts. In her practice, she specializes in treating women through the lifespan and treating chronic pain conditions. She is passionate about lifelong learning, professionally and personally. Her specialization in the neuroscience of pain as been unexpectedly helpful in her personal forays in the aerial arts.

Join Momentum for our NEW Aerial Yoga class! Utilize silk hammocks to assist with traditional yoga poses in this fun, yoga-centered class. We’re offering donation based demos before we get our 2019 classes under way!
Aerial yoga is a wonderful way to incorporate the benefits of yoga with the fun and creativity of aerial arts. It is a gentle and accessible way to experience the silks, rooted in traditional yogic movement.
