Beginner Handstands is a drop-in friendly class that builds strength, control, and confidence in floor inversions. We’ll move from supported entries to balancing away from the wall, and gradually work toward a press. No prior handstand experience is necessary, just a willingness to spend time upside down, whether in headstand, forearm stand, or handstand. This class emphasizes shoulder stability, alignment, and developing control while inverted. Aerial students will especially benefit from training opposing muscle groups and body awareness. You do not have to be an aerial student to take this class. Adult students with a semester pass can use their 5 complimentary fitness/flex/open training passes towards Beginner Handstands.

Fall 2025 Schedule:

  • Wednesdays at 5pm in Studio D with Ali Boyd

Aerial Yoga

Join Momentum for our Aerial Yoga class! Utilize silk hammocks to assist with traditional yoga poses in this fun, yoga-centered class taught by physical therapist Amy Flory. Aerial yoga is a wonderful way to incorporate the benefits of yoga with the fun and creativity of aerial arts. It is a gentle and accessible way to experience the silks, rooted in traditional yogic movement.

Please note: this is a yoga class. If you'd like to learn more advanced skills in the silks, you may want to consider joining our Silks level 1a classes.

We do not currently have Aerial Yoga on our schedule. Please reach out to be put on a waitlist, we will contact you if there is enough interest to run this class next semester.
