After the successful summer narrative aerial production of "Where the Desert Meets the Moon," Momentum Aerial presents their second narrative production this winter, "The Nutcracker!"

The story of Clara, the nutcracker, & the mouse king is back-- with a new aerial twist you've never seen before! The production features aerial dance interwoven into a play format, where the classic moments of the Nutcracker will be presented through circus arts! Featuring some of the original music by Tchaikovsky, with other music to keep this production fresh and exciting. The cast includes seven actor-aerialists who are a part of our narrative aerial class, and the show is supported by performances from fall semester aerial classes. This production is family friendly and runs at around an hour in length. The show is one day only, December 20th, at both 3 and 6 pm at Momentum Aerial.

Tickets are $15. Space is limited, so make your December magical and get your tickets early!

Youth (ages 9-12) Samplers

Families! Join us for a free event, in collaboration with the Festival of Science.

There will be plenty to see and learn at Willow Bend Environmental Education Center at this event for younger children. A big caterpillar made of stilt-walkers will transform into butterflies, puppets will demonstrate the four phases of a butterfly's life, and more.

Have you ever tried sling before? If not, this is a great opportunity to try! Taught by the amazing Sunn Mixon, you'll get a taste of what it feels like to be supported in a hammock and learn new wraps, among a fun and supportive community. For aerial students with prior experiences in silk, lyra, and trapeze, sling will feel similar.

Join Momentum Aerial as we celebrate the season! We are hosting our second annual Pollinator Parade. Grab your tutus, flower crowns, bee costumes and maybe a hula hoop or two and meet us down at Heritage Square for the festivities.

We will be processing around Heritage Square and the downtown area, and the event culminates in a performance of butterflies (aka aerial dancers!).
