Step into the vibrant world of the traditional Irish dance with Kate Rose, an experienced teacher and dance workshop leader! It's a cultural immersion where you'll learn the foundational steps of authentic ceili dancing for basic tune types like jigs, reels, and hornpipes, along with traditional formations.This workshop is a collective, cooperative experience of movement. You'll learn to piece together dance elements in creative, improvisational ways, all to the electrifying energy of live music by Wild World Irish Fiddle!For dancers of all styles, musicians, and those who love to share and experience movement, this journey will deepen your connection to rhythm and movement. Learn to listen with your whole body, anchoring musicality and discovering new ways to articulate sound through motion. Musicians will also find immense benefit in embodying these traditional rhythms.Kate Rose spent two years living and learning in rural Ireland, immersing herself in the traditional rural life to truly understand these rhythms from their roots. She'll guide you in a supportive, welcoming, and fun environment where solos and collective creations are encouraged.
